About
I have been into psychological pursuits from way back.
- In college, I was a volunteer counselor in a drug-related crisis clinic, a women's clinic and a community mental health center.
- During my master's degree training, I was a research assistant and, after finishing, worked in a community mental health center.
- During my doctoral program, I taught and supervised master's level counselors and saw clients myself.
- I also spent a year doing research at a VA hospital in Reno, Nevada.
Since getting my license, I have done both inpatient and outpatient work. I was a psychologist and a unit head at Dammasch State Hospital before it closed and then at Oregon State Hospital, totaling ten years.
Since then, I have been doing outpatient psychotherapy, both in a group practice and, now, as a solo practitioner.
